THINGS TO DO

Complete entertainment schedule for Mullet Festival

It’s time to celebrate in Boggy Country!  It’s the 40th Annual Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival, October 21st, 22nd and 23rd in Niceville, Florida!  What started as a celebration of friends, family and a bountiful local fish has become one of the most enduring festivals in the Southeast.  The Mullet Festival is famous for unique handmade arts and crafts, thrilling rides and games, flavorful food from fried and smoked mullet to all of your favorite festival staples, and top-notch musical entertainment.  Bring the family and create some memories with us!

Headlining Friday night on the Mullet Festival stage is one the most talented young artists in country music, Chase Bryant.  He burst onto the scene with back-to-back top-10 hits Little Bit of You and Take It On Back, and his alluring new single Room to Breathe is sure to follow in their footsteps.  The guitar-shredding Texan has music in his blood.  Bryant’s grandfather played piano for Roy Orbison and Waylon Jennings, and his uncles co-founded the hit-making country band Ricochet.

Saturday night we’re excited to welcome Justin Moore back to Boggy Country!  Following his 2013 appearance in Niceville, Moore took home his first ACM award when he was named New Artist of the Year.  The Arkansas native has cemented his place in country music with chart-topping singles Small Town USA, If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away, Lettin’ the Night Roll and Til My Last Day.  Moore just released his fourth album, Kinda Don’t Care, and has garnered his seventh top-10 hit with its lead single, You Look Like I Need a Drink.

Joe Diffie will close out the festival on Sunday evening.  Diffie dominated the charts in the 90s, and Jason Aldean’s hit “1994” introduced him to a whole new generation of fans two decades later.  He has over 20 top-10 hits to his credit, including John Deere Green, Home, Bigger than the Beatles, Pickup Man and Third Rock from the Sun.  He’s a Grammy and ACM award winner and has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry for over 20 years.  Along for the ride will be one of the most popular country groups of the 90s, Confederate Railroad.  Songs like Queen of Memphis, Jesus and Mama, Daddy Never Was the Cadillac Kind and Trashy Women have brought them chart success, multi-platinum sales and continued popularity as a road band.  On their new album “Lucky to be Alive,” the band teamed with friends Willie Nelson, John Anderson and Colt Ford to record a 20th Anniversary collaboration of “Trashy Women.”

Other acts taking the stage include Brassfield Aly, Farewell Angelina and the Troy Laz Band.

Don’t miss special appearances by Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Pikachu Saturday and Sunday from 1pm until 5pm!

Advance Tickets will be available online and locally for $10 each.  Tickets purchased at the gate are $15 Friday, $15 Saturday and $10 Sunday.  Admission is free for children age 11 & under.  All tickets are single-day general admission passes, and concerts are included in the ticket price.  For a list of local ticket outlets, or to purchase online, visit www.mulletfestival.com. Armbands and individual tickets for rides and games are sold separately at the festival midway.

The Mullet Festival Site is located at the intersection of College Boulevard and Highway 85 North in Niceville.  Gates open at Noon Friday, 11am Saturday and 11am Sunday.  We hope you enjoy the 40th Annual Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival!
