A campaign rally in Niceville on Thursday for U.S. Representative Matt Gaetz will suspend all routine operations Thursday afternoon at Northwest Florida State College, the site of the event.
Donald Trump Jr., the son of President Donald Trump, and U.S. Representative Ron DeSantis, a Republican candidate for governor, are scheduled to join Gaetz at his campaign event.
At the direction of the U.S. Secret Service and the NWF College Safety and Security team, the Niceville Campus will suspend functions in the Student Services Center beginning at 12 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018. Student services will be available at all other campuses and centers until 4:30 p.m.
All other routine operations on the Niceville campus will be suspended after 2 p.m.
As many as 200 people are expected to turn out to protest.
Information on classes directly affected by this closure will be communicated to students by their instructors.
The Niceville campus will re-open on Friday, August 3 at 8 a.m.
