The Emerald Coast Association of Realtors will be hosting an Okaloosa County Candidate Forum tonight, Thursday, June 30, at 5:30 p.m. at Niceville High School.
“ECAR is excited to be able to provide a setting for Okaloosa residents to meet their local candidates and listen to their positions on key issues that affect more than just the real estate industry and homeowners, but our community as a whole,” said Cathy Alley, ECAR president. The Association is encouraging the public to come out to the free event.
Candidates running for County Commission, School Board, Superintendent, Property Appraiser, County Clerk and Tax Collector have been invited to participate.
Bob Heist, editor for the Northwest Florida Daily News, will be the moderator for the event. During the forum, candidates will be given one minute to make opening remarks and a one-minute closing. The candidates will also be asked several predetermined questions. Unopposed candidates will be given the opportunity to speak to constituents for five minutes.
