The hometown mother-daughter team bakes all of the sweet treats each day, creates custom cakes, and greets and serves customers in a bright and friendly atmosphere.

Cadycakes features such fresh-baked treats as cupcakes, pies, cookies, brownies, scones, truffles, and cinnamon rolls. Also, Cadycakes offers freshly brewed coffee, iced tea, canned soda, and old fashioned bottled cream soda.

“We do try to keep it different every day,” said Julie. “It changes with the ingredients that we have for the day.”

About once each week, usually Wednesdays, Cadycakes offers either a gluten-free or sugar-free option.

Cupcakes at Cadycakes are big in freshness and flavor, small in cost, and just the right size for snacking.

“Sometimes a jumbo cupcake is too much for one person,” said Julie. “We did not want to have cupcakes that are more than one serving, and we wanted to keep prices lower.”

The cost for a regular cupcake at Cadycakes is $1.79. A dozen is $20. Scones and brownies are $1.99.

Julie has been baking custom cakes and other sweet treats for nearly 25 years. Over the past 10 years, Cady has been helping and learning the craft.

“I’ve learned from my mom,” said Cady. “She’s definitely my mentor.”

The pair limits the number of custom cakes they do each week, so if you’d like one for a special occasion or holiday, think ahead. Currently, they are booked ahead for about one month.

Cadycakes is open Tuesday-Saturday as follows:  Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. Phone 850-389-8712. Daily specials, mark downs — and loads of mouth-watering photos — are posted on Cadycakes Facebook Page.
