Traffic advisory, state roads, Bay County, Florida (Florida Department of Transportation)
BAY COUNTY, Fla. — Motorists will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Bay County during the week of May 22 as crews perform construction and maintenance activities, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
— State Road (S.R.) 390 Widening from Jenks Avenue to S.R. 77
Kentucky Avenue remains closed at the S.R. 390 intersection. Drivers may use either West 18th Street or Carolina Avenue for access to S.R. 390. S.R. 77 pedestrian traffic is shifted to the east side of the roadway near the S.R. 390 intersection. The sidewalk on the west side of S.R. 77 is temporarily closed from the S.R. 390 intersection to 17th Street. Pedestrians may cross to the sidewalk on the east side of S.R. 77 at either the S.R. 390 or 17th Street intersection.
— S.R. 390 Resurfacing East of S.R. 77 (Ohio Ave) to U.S. 231
Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures between County Road 389 and Transmitter Road, Sunday, May 22 from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. for paving operations.
— U.S. 98/Tyndall Air Force Base Flyover
U.S. 98 westbound traffic is shifted slightly to the north so construction on the new elevated travel lanes can continue. No oversized permit loads are permitted while this lane shift is in place.
— S.R. 388 Widening from S.R. 79 to East of Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport
Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures between Timber Road and east of West Bay Parkway Tuesday, May 24 through Thursday, May 26 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for drainage operations.
— Beach Drive (U.S. 98) Resurfacing from 15th Street to West of Harrison Avenue
Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures on 9th Street, Frankford Avenue, and Beach Drive from Frankford Avenue to 6th Street, Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. for drainage work.
— U.S. 98 (Panama City Beach Parkway) Resurfacing from the Walton County Line to Heather Drive
Motorists will encounter intermittent shoulder closures the week of Monday, May 23, for concrete operations.
— Interstate 10 (I-10) Routine Bridge Inspection over S.R. 69 Overpass
Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures 10 miles east of S.R. 71, Monday, May 23 from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for a routine bridge inspection.
— I-10 Routine Bridge Inspection over S.R. 71 Overpass
Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures one mile east of the Chipola river, Tuesday, May 24 from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for a routine bridge inspection.
— I-10 Routine Bridge Inspection over the Chipola River Bridge
Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures one mile west of S.R. 71, Wednesday, May 2 from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for a routine bridge inspection.
All activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
