Avoid delays: FDOT traffic advisory for Okaloosa County, Jan. 28-Feb.3

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. — Drivers in Okaloosa County may encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads this week as crews perform construction and maintenance activities, according to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).

Here is this week’s traffic advisory for Okaloosa County:

— Brooks Bridge Replacement Project
Drivers may experience traffic disruptions Sunday, Jan. 28 through Thursday, Feb. 1, between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. for utility work and construction activities in the following locations:

  • U.S. 98 east and westbound alternating and intermittent lane closures between Ferry Road and Pier Road
  • Santa Rosa Boulevard east and westbound alternating lane closures from east of Amberjack Drive to Ross Marler Park

— Mary Esther Boulevard (State Road 393) Resurfacing from U.S. 98 to Beal Parkway (State Road 189)
Drivers may encounter intermittent inside lane closures on Mary Esther Boulevard for median construction at the following locations and times:

  • Sunday, Jan. 28 through Thursday, Feb. 1, from U.S. 98 to Hollywood Boulevard, between 7 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
  • Sunday, Jan. 28 through Saturday, Feb. 3, from Hollywood Boulevard to Beal Parkway, between 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

— State Road 85 Resurfacing from north of Commerce Drive to Bill Lundy Road
Drivers may experience intermittent north and southbound S. R. 85 single-lane closures for milling and paving operations. Lane closures may occur as follows:

  • Between Airport Road and Butler Road, Monday, Jan. 29, through Friday, Feb. 2, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Between Commerce Drive and Butler Road, Sunday, Jan. 28 through Thursday, Feb. 1, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  • Between Butler Road and Bill Lundy Road, Sunday, Jan. 28 through Saturday, Feb. 3, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Here is a look at paving operations for the State Road 85 resurfacing project, from Commerce Drive to Bill Lundy Road, in north Crestview. — State Road 285 Resurfacing from State Road 20 to State Road. 293
Drivers may experience intermittent S.R. 285 north and southbound lane closures from Sunday, Jan. 28, through Thursday, Feb. 1, at the following times and locations for crews to place sod:

  • Between John Sims Parkway (State Road. 20) and Palm Boulevard from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Between Palm Boulevard and State Road 293 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

— U.S. 98 Resurfacing from Josie Road to Florida Place Southeast
Drivers may encounter intermittent U.S. 98 east and westbound lane closures from Sunday, Jan. 28, through Thursday, Feb. 1, between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. for paving operations.

— State Road 85 Intersection Improvement at Erwin Fleet Intersection
Drivers may encounter intermittent lane closures near the State Road. 85/Erwin Fleet intersection, Sunday, Jan. 28 through Saturday, Feb. 3, between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., for signalization work.

— U.S. 98 Bridge Rehabilitation over East Pass Bridge
Drivers may encounter intermittent single-lane closures on east and westbound U.S. 98 over East Pass (Marler) Bridge, Sunday, Jan. 28 through Thursday, Feb. 1, between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. to complete work list items. The existing 35-mph speed limit will be maintained during construction.

— U.S. 90 Routine Utility Maintenance from Hudson Street and Mayo Trail in Crestview
Drivers will encounter intermittent lane closures on Tuesday, Jan. 30, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. for routine utility maintenance.
