HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. — The 505th Command & Control Wing hosted #TeamHurlburt’s 2021 Angel Tree program wrapping approximately 1,000 gifts for Team Hurlburt’s children.
The program, sponsored by the Hurlburt Field First Sergeants Group, supports Hurlburt families in need with donated holiday gifts. The group selected the recipients for this year’s Angel Tree program.
Christmas morning this year will be brighter for over 98 Hurlburt families thanks to the generosity of so many within the community.
“Angel Tree is such a simple way to give back to those that already give so much! Military families are not exempt from the stressors of life, even the ones that sometimes include financial hardships,” said Master Sgt. Kristie Kersch, 505th Test & Training Group Acting First Sergeant.
“Angel Tree is one way for our community to band together and say, ‘we got you!’ by offering silent, but profound assistance to those in need. I think it truly sums up what Christmas spirit really means.”
Team Hurlburt volunteers wrapped the donated gifts on the 505th Command and Control Wing’s campus on Dec. 15 and the presents were given to the families on Dec. 16.
