“Pairing additional routes with the recently established yearround base has generated a significant amount of new local jobs. The Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport is proud to celebrate and continue to grow our partnership with Allegiant,” he said.

As part of Allegiant’s growth in Florida, Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport will become the airline’s 14th year-round aircraft base, which will house two Airbus aircraft and 65 new, high-wage jobs.

The Las Vegas-based company is investing more than $49 million to establish a year-round base
