300 take part in Pride Walk in Niceville [PHOTOS]

Spirts ran high as walkers, many dressed in colorful garb and carrying signs with messages of love and fellowship, marched along Niceville’s main street in the Saturday morning sunshine.

Niceville offered a warm welcome this morning to the 300 individuals taking part in the 2019 Emerald Coast Pride Walk. Motorists displayed their support by honking horns and waving as the walkers marched along John Sims Parkway between Niceville High School and Walmart.

Spirts ran high as walkers, many dressed in colorful garb and carrying signs with messages of love and fellowship, marched along Niceville’s main street in the Saturday morning sunshine.

The 2019 Emerald Coast Pride Walk was held in Niceville on June 15.

A Niceville.com reporter counted 300 participants. Dozens more attended the pre-and post walk rallies bringing total participation in excess of 350.

The walk drew folks from all walks of life and included toddlers to seniors.

The walk was sponsored by the Northwest Florida State College Gay-Straight Alliance and the Niceville High School Gay-Straight Alliance.

Organizers hope to create safer, more loving, more understanding spaces for all LGBTQIA people throughout the panhandle of Florida.

The Pride Walk in Niceville drew 300 participants from all walks of life.
