The 2019 National Day of Prayer service in Niceville is Thursday, May 2, 12 noon, outside of Niceville City Hall.
The Twin Cities Ministerial Association is sponsoring the National Day of Pray observance for the Niceville-Valparaiso community.
Pre-service music will begin at 11:30 am. It will be presented by Rocky Bayou Christian School.
Prayers will be offered for local, state and national leaders, first responders, and members of the military.
Please bring a lawn chair for this outdoor event. It is expected to last about 45 minutes.
The National Day of Prayer tradition predates the founding of the United States of America, evidenced by the Continental Congress’ proclamation in 1775 setting aside a day of prayer. In 1952, Congress established an annual day of prayer and, in 1988, that law was amended, designating the National Day of Prayer as the first Thursday in May.
