2018 Memorial Day ceremony is Monday

The 2018 Memorial Day Service hosted by the Twin Cities Veterans Council will be held at Doolittle Memorial in Valparaiso.

The Twin Cities Veterans Council of Niceville and Valparaiso will hold its 2018 Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 28, 11 a.m., at Doolittle Memorial Park located on John Sims Parkway in Valparaiso.

Speakers are Valparaiso Mayor Brent Smith, Niceville Mayor Pro Tem Sal Nodjomiabn and keynote speaker SMS (Ret) Lenora Revell Ellison.

Wreaths will be presented and AMVETS Post 78 will conduct a rifle salute.

Lawn chairs are recommended. If the weather is bad the ceremony will be held at AMVETS Post 78, 910 Valastics Avenue in Valparaiso.
