2017 Memorial Day Ceremony in Niceville Monday morning

The 2017 Memorial Day Ceremony at Niceville City Hall includes posting of the colors, National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance, and guest speaker.

The 2017 Memorial Day Ceremony in Niceville hosted by the Vietnam/Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club (MC), Chapter Z will take place on Monday, May 29,  shortly after 11 a.m., at the Fallen Soldier Monument located at Niceville City Hall.

The event begins with a motorcycle ride that departs the Bayou Plaza parking lot in Niceville (Hwy 85 S and John Sims Pkwy) at 11 a.m., proceeding to Niceville City Hall for the ceremony at the Fallen Soldier Monument.

The event, now in its 6th year, includes posting of the colors, National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance, and guest speaker.

After the ceremony, the day continues at the American Legion Post 221, 444 E John Sims Pkwy, in Niceville:

  • Free event…everyone welcome
  • Cookout with hot dogs & hamburgers

The Vietnam/Legacy Vets MC is a patriotic group of riders who place a high priority on supporting Veterans and Veterans’ concerns in our community.  Members consist primarily of former and current service members who share a love for this country and a passion for motorcycling.

Members of the Vietnam/Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club share a common goal of ensuring a full accounting of those Missing in Action and those taken as Prisoners of War.”
