Niceville will hold its second annual Emergency Preparedness Fair at the K building of Northwest Florida State College, 100 College Blvd., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 25. This service will help prepare citizens for the upcoming hurricane season, as well as their personal lives.

There will be a variety of displays and demonstrations showcasing essentials in being prepared: CPR, First Aid, a blood drive, water storage, ham radio operation, trauma intervention and the Community Emergency Response Team will be present.

Under long-term food storage, there will be demonstrations on: canning, beekeeping, wheat grinding, growing sprouts indoors, cinderblock gardening, making whole wheat bread, storing and rotating food storage, growing a vegetable garden in North Florida and making the best use of space.
