Santa Rosa Beach, FL – Please join Shelter House, local Domestic Violence center, in opening their new Santa Rosa Beach office at their Open House on Monday, March 1. Doors will be open from 10 am – 6 pm. Enjoy refreshments, speak with staff and meet the Walton County advocate, Patricia Burton.



Shelter House is expanding their services to better serve Walton County. “We are thrilled to be offering services to all four corners of our service area,” says Michelle Sperzel, Shelter House Executive Director. “This location will make it possible to reach more people within the southern part of Walton County.”


Services will include weekly support groups on Thursdays from 12:30 – 2:00 pm. New participants will be required to attend an intake group which will take place on Thursdays from 9:00 – 10:00 am. Our economic empowerment course, WAM! (women and money) will take place at the Santa Rosa Beach office on Wednesdays, May 19 – June 23 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. All services are free of charge.


The Santa Rosa Beach office is located at 78 Lynn Drive. Contact the office at (850) 622-5411 or reach them by fax at (850) 622-0625. This office will also be a donation drop off location.


Shelter House is the state-certified domestic violence center serving victims of domestic violence in Okaloosa and Walton counties. Services provided include 24-hour hotline, crisis counseling, advocacy, outreach, primary prevention, transitional housing and confidential shelter.
