Area cooks are again looking forward to the 16th annual WZEP Taste of Home Cooking School to be held Tuesday, March 2, 2010. This year’s school returns to DeFuniak Springs at the new Walton High auditorium. Major sponsors include CHELCO, Triangle Chevrolet-Buick and Clary-Glenn Funeral Home.

Doors will open at 4:30pm and Taste of Home culinary specialist Michelle Roberts will start cooking at 6:30pm. Ten fresh picked favorite recipes will be prepared on stage and given as door prizes. Prior to the show, attendees may visit the many booths, register for prizes from local businesses and pick up promotional items. The cooking school is an excellent opportunity for area businesses to meet prospective customers and share in an exciting evening

Concessions this year will again be provided by the Pilot Club of DeFuniak Springs, a business and professional organization supporting various brain disorder projects and awarding scholarships to members of the Anchor Clubs in Walton County.

As part of the “Cooks Who Care” program, food will again be collected for The Path of Grace in Freeport, a home for women recovering from addictions.

Tickets for the 16th annual WZEP Taste of Home Cooking School are $8 and are on sale at the WZEP studios, 449 North 12th Street, DeFuniak Springs.
