View Full Version : Area students selected for leadership roles at Huntingdon College

MONTGOMERY, AL -- Huntingdon College has announced the names of students who have been selected to serve as Huntingdon Hosts and Huntingdon Ambassadors for the 2011–2012 academic year. Huntingdon's most elite service groups, Huntingdon Hosts and Huntingdon Ambassadors represent the College to visitors, prospective families, alumni, and College friends. Huntingdon Hosts work with the Office of Admission to welcome prospective students and families to campus. Huntingdon Ambassadors work with the Office of College and Alumni Relations and with the Office of the President to welcome guests to on-campus cultural events, speak about the Huntingdon experience, and represent the College at churches and alumni receptions across the region.

The following area students were selected:

William Davis (http://readabout.me/William-Davis/JSAT), Huntingdon Host, is a sophomore biochemistry major from Niceville, Florida. Davis is a member of the Huntingdon Hawks baseball team, the Judicial Board, Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He serves as a Chemistry Wizard and on the Student Government Association. He is the son of Mary and Stuart Davis.

Michelle Gonzalez (http://readabout.me/Michelle-Gonzalez/JSAW), Huntingdon Host, is a sophomore business administration major from Niceville, Florida. She is the daughter of Michell and Roberto Rubet of Niceville. Gonzalez is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi women's fraternity, the Student Government Association, and the Business Club.

Huntingdon College is a four-year coeducational liberal arts college of the United Methodist Church. The College offers more than 20 programs of study as well as pre-professional studies, areas of concentration, and teacher certification programs. Through the Huntingdon Plan, full-time students are provided laptop computers for use all four years and theirs to keep at graduation; travel/study during the junior or senior year within regular educational costs; Levelized Tuition, providing that tuition will not increase for consecutive full-time enrollment through graduation; small classes, personal attention, and excellent teaching-oriented faculty. Huntingdon is listed as a top-tier regional liberal arts college by U.S. News and World Report; is a member of the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll; has been named to the Princeton Review's The Best College's, Region by Region; and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
