Learn about the archaeology done in this area. The Florida Public
Archaeology Network will be demonstrating “ground penetrating radar”
and has offered to identify any personal artifacts you bring to the
event.
Bring a picnic and lawn chairs! Your family can settle down and
listen to dulcimer music, Native American flute playing or pioneer
tales. Then you can check out soap-making, campfire cooking and
pioneer tool use near our restored chuckwagon!
This community educational event is sponsored by the Friends of
Emerald Coast State Parks in partnership with the Heritage Museum of
Northwest Florida
The park is located off Highway 20, just east of the Rocky Bayou
bridge. For more information call the park at 850-833-9144.
