The 2016 Oktoberfest in Bluewater Bay will be held Friday-Saturday, September 23-24, at the Winn-Dixie Shopping Center located on Hwy. 20 in Bluewater. Hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24.
Admission is free.
The 22nd Annual Oktoberfest, sponsored by the Mid-Bay Rotary Club, will feature an abundance of live music, arts and crafts booths, children’s activities, German Oktoberfest beer, wine and German food – such as grilled bratwurst and homemade authentic German sauerkraut from an old Bavarian family recipe. Traditional festival fare and soft drinks will also be available.
The whole family will enjoy the festivities, food, entertainment, clowns and children’s rides.
The North Bay Fire Control District is sponsoring a fire engine pull where teams pull a firetruck over a fixed distance and compete for the best time. The fire engine pull will be held Friday, 7 p.m. A rescue demonstration will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m.
